Course Description: The OSHA 10-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program provides basic safety and health information and education to teach workers how to identify and avoid common safety and health risks in the workplace as an entry level employee. Trainees who complete this OSHA-authorized course will receive an official OSHA card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)

Fixed and Portable Ladder Safety
Fire Prevention, Protection and Emergency Egress Safety
Dangers of Electrical Hazards
Using and Choosing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Causes and Prevention of MSD and RMD Injuries
Workers' Rights to Know the Chemical Makeup of Materials Found in Their Workplace
Difference Between Chronic and Acute Health Ailments
Hazards of Spray Finishing, Dipping/Coating, Combustible Liquids and Compressed Gases
Dangers of Unguarded Equipment
Policy: Students are required to complete 100% of the course and actively participate in all learning activities. Make-up time is not permitted for this training course.
Course Examination: Students must earn a 70% or more in their final exam in order to successfully complete the course.
Awarding of Certifications, CEUs, or Transcripts: Upon successful course completion students will receive a certificate of Completion from Safe Connect Us. Students will receive their 10 hour OSHA card within 2 weeks. Cards will be sent via regular mail to the address provided in the registration form or picked up at the office if indicated by the student.
